the smell of the coffee has to be the same as yesterday, remember
cheap coffee, honest, from an electric coffee machine
and also tell them about that girl
and that you saw her panties on the escalator,

Tell them also about the guy you saw lying on the ground
last night, at dawn, coming back from work

el olor a café ha de ser igual al de ayer, recuerda
café barato, honrado, de cafetera eléctrica
y háblales también de esa chica
y que le viste las bragas en las escaleras mecánicas,
y no olvides el andén y el olor áspero de la noche
y el rock/roll en los audífonos y los rostros, los rostros...
Háblales también del tipo que viste tendido en el suelo
anoche, de madrugada, al volver del trabajo
y de por qué no le auxiliaste. Háblales de su rostro.
Háblales del miedo de los taxistas, del sudor
háblales del hollín, de los hombres anuncio,
de los zapatos perdidos en los desagües, en las aceras,
[en el cableado del teléfono...
Muéstrales los túneles subterráneos
que hacen que todo cobre verdadero sentido.
